The beginning of December at Jaguar Plásticos was marked by the Internal Week for the Prevention of Accidents at Work, or SIPAT. This year, the 17th edition had as its theme at home, in traffic or at work: safe and healthy behaviors are essential.
Over the course of a week, talks and educational activities were held at the company for all employees, with the aim of making them aware of occupational risks and how to take care of them on a daily basis.
SIPAT is one of the best-known actions of the Internal Accident Prevention Commission (CIPA), whose purpose is to guide employees on personal safety and accident prevention, whether at home, in traffic or at work.
All of this year's SIPAT actions were based on the following safe attitudes, which were passed on to employees:
Safe attitudes at WORK:
- Avoid any kind of risk;
- Keep your workplace clean and organized;
- Use PPE correctly and report incidents;
- Do not use tools in poor condition;
- Transit only in permitted areas within the factory;
- When walking around the factory, don't be distracted by your cell phone.
Safe attitudes in traffic:
- Always wear a seat belt or helmet;
- Respect the speed limit;
- Pay attention to traffic signs and signals;
- Give preference to pedestrians;
- Do not use your cell phone while driving;
- Carry out constant checks to check the oil level, tire calibration and other important safety items.
Safe attitudes at HOME:
- Keep chemical products in safe places;
- Be careful with sockets, as they can cause short circuits;
- In the kitchen, pay extra attention to hot pans, knives and other sharp objects;
- Be careful in wet environments;
- Maintain adequate lighting;
- Check for gas leaks.
Among the Jaguar group's values are safety and teamwork, which prioritizes life and encourages teamwork and creativity. Once again, SIPAT was a success. We would like to thank all the employees who took part in the activities and contributed to preserving life and promoting health!
